Vital vibes

The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences welcomed the Class of 2029 last week. Throughout the week, students participated in "MedFest: Where the Vibes are Vital," an orientation program designed to help them get to know the school and its organizations. The students also took part in a Day of Service in the Buffalo community. And to conclude the week, they received their white coats on Friday. The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for beginning medical students nationwide and is intended to help establish a psychological contract for professionalism and empathy in the practice of medicine.
